Introducing The Creative Practice π Help Me Shape It π
For more than three years, Iβve worked throughout the stationery world creating products, collaborating with others, and helping established companies develop products and shape their brands.
Now, I want to share what Iβve learned.
Iβm developing a course called The Creative Practice, built around one simple idea:
Make "Your" Version.
The course will help you understand your creative perspective and use it to bring meaningful work, products, and ideas into the world. My goal is for you to leave with greater clarity, knowledge, and confidence along with practical resources you can apply immediately.
Many creative courses begin by telling you to search for inspiration. The Creative Practice begins somewhere more foundational: understanding the person doing the creating.
Your memories, interests, influences, values, frustrations, and experiences already shape what you notice and the decisions you make. You are not a blank canvas you already have material to work with.
The first session will help you recognize that material, understand the foundations of your taste, and develop confidence in your creative decisions.
From there, we will explore:
Understanding your creative perspective and developing your taste
Transforming influences into work that feels like your own
Developing a creative philosophy and point of view
Turning an idea into a meaningful product
Product development and manufacturing
Branding, storytelling, and authentic marketing
Understanding who your work is and is not for
Most examples will come from my experience in stationery, but the principles can be applied to nearly any creative endeavor.
Iβm not here to teach you how to copy my path. I want to help you better understand your own and give you practical tools for moving forward.
As I develop the course, I want to make sure it addresses the questions and challenges that matter most to you.
Please take a moment to complete this short survey and tell me what you want to learn: https://mybusker.com/@wastedpaper/q/untitled-survey-1
Thank you for being part of this process.
You have something to give the world. Letβs bring your version into it.
