Payments & Fees

Last updated: July 29, 2026

These Payments & Fees terms are part of our Terms of Service and apply whenever money moves through Busker — creator subscriptions, store sales, memberships, and tips.

The Short Version

Busker charges one flat fee — 6% + $0.60 per transaction, with Stripe processing included — on every plan. Stripe handles the actual payments and pays creators out. As a creator, you're the seller of record for your own products, memberships, and tips: you set the prices, fulfill what you sell, handle refunds to your buyers, and are responsible for your own taxes. Entering a giveaway is always free.

1. Platform Fee

Busker charges a single platform fee of 6% + $0.60 per transaction on money you collect through the Service — store orders, membership payments, and tips. This fee is the same on every plan (Starter, Studio, and Pro) and includes Stripe's payment-processing costs; there are no separate payout fees, monthly minimums, or hidden charges. The fee is deducted automatically at the time of each transaction.

On Tip Jar payments, supporters may choose to cover this fee so that the full amount reaches the creator.

2. Creator Subscription Plans

Busker offers a free Starter plan and two paid plans, Studio and Pro. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis — monthly or annually, depending on the billing cycle you select — and renew automatically until cancelled.

3. Payment Processing and Payouts

All payments are processed by Stripe. Busker does not store your card details. Your use of payment features is also subject to the Stripe Services Agreement.

To sell products, offer paid memberships, or accept tips, a creator must connect a Stripe account (via Stripe Connect). Payouts for your sales, memberships, and tips are made by Stripe to your connected account on Stripe's payout schedule and are subject to Stripe's verification and account requirements. Busker does not control the timing of Stripe payouts and is not a party to the payment between a creator and their buyer or supporter.

4. Creators Are the Seller of Record

When you sell products, offer memberships, or receive tips through Busker, you — not Busker — are the seller of record. You are responsible for:

Busker provides the tools that facilitate these transactions but does not take title to your products and is not responsible for fulfilling them.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Creator subscription plans

Subscription payments for Busker plans are non-refundable except where required by law. When you cancel, you keep access through the end of your current paid period; we do not provide partial refunds for unused time.

Store orders, memberships, and tips

Because the creator is the seller of record, refunds for store purchases and membership payments are set and issued by the creator under their own refund policy. Refund requests for those transactions should be directed to the creator. Tips are generally non-refundable once sent. Busker's platform fee may be non-refundable on refunded transactions.

6. Taxes

Prices you set may be exclusive of tax. You are solely responsible for determining whether you must collect sales tax, VAT, or other taxes on your sales, and for reporting and remitting those taxes to the appropriate authorities. Busker's platform fee does not include any taxes owed on your sales, and Busker does not file or remit taxes on your behalf.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

If a buyer or supporter disputes a charge with their bank or card issuer (a chargeback), the disputed amount and any related fees may be deducted from the creator's balance or payouts. Creators are responsible for responding to disputes involving their own sales. We may withhold payouts or suspend payment features where we detect fraud, excessive chargebacks, or other abuse.

8. Giveaways Are Free to Enter

Entering a giveaway on Busker is always free. Creators may not require payment, or a purchase of any kind, as a condition of entering a giveaway. Giveaways may only be gated on free actions, such as a verified YouTube subscription. This keeps giveaways from becoming lotteries, which are restricted in most jurisdictions.

9. Changes to Fees

We may change our fees or plan pricing from time to time. We will provide notice of changes by posting them here and updating the "Last updated" date, and, for material changes to recurring charges, by notifying affected creators before the change takes effect. Your continued use of paid features after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new fees.
