For Creators (YouTube Content Creators)

When you sign up as a creator, we collect:

• Account information: Name, email address, and password
• Session information: IP address and browser/device information for security purposes
• Giveaway information: Giveaway names, descriptions, dates, rules, and settings you configure

When you connect your Google account, we receive:

• Your Google email address and profile picture
• YouTube channel information (channel ID, name, and handle)

If you open a store, we also collect the products, pricing, shipping settings, and store branding you configure.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, sell products, or accept tips, we collect:

• Payment information processed securely by Stripe (we do not store your card details)
• Stripe customer, subscription, and Stripe Connect account identifiers
• Billing, payout, and transaction status information

For Members (Giveaway Participants)

When you enter a giveaway using Google sign-in, we collect:

• Google account information: Email address, name, and profile picture
• YouTube information: YouTube handle (if available) and subscription status to the creator's channel

If you win a giveaway requiring shipping, we collect:

• Shipping address: Street address, city, state/province, postal code, and country
• Contact information: Phone number (optional, for delivery coordination)

For Customers and Supporters (Stores and Tips)

You can buy from a creator's store or send a tip without creating an account. When you do, we collect:

• Order and contact information: Name, email, and the items, options, tip amount, or message you submit
• Shipping address: For physical products—street address, city, state/province, postal code, country, and an optional phone number for delivery
• Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe (we do not store your card details); we receive confirmation and transaction identifiers

• Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
• Device information
• Usage data (features used, actions taken)
• Email engagement (whether you opened a newsletter and which links you clicked)

2. How We Use Your Information

For Creators

• Provide and manage your creator dashboard and giveaways
• Display your YouTube channel information to giveaway participants
• Process subscription payments and manage your billing
• Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, billing notifications)

For Members

• Process your giveaway entries
• Verify YouTube subscription status for subscriber-only giveaways
• Notify you if you win a giveaway
• Facilitate prize delivery by sharing shipping information with the creator
• Record survey responses you choose to submit

For Customers and Supporters

• Process and fulfill your orders and tips
• Share your shipping and contact details with the creator so they can fulfill your order
• Send order and tip confirmations and delivery updates

For Everyone

• Maintain and improve the Service
• Provide customer support
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as follows:

Member Information Shared with Creators

• Upon entry: Creators see that you entered and your YouTube handle (if available)
• If you win: Creators receive your email address to contact you about your prize
• Public winner announcement: If you win a giveaway, your YouTube handle and channel avatar may be shown publicly on that giveaway's page to announce the winner
• For physical prizes: Winners' shipping addresses are shared with creators to fulfill prizes
• For purchases: Creators receive your name, email, order details, and shipping address to fulfill your order
• For tips: Creators receive your name and message, if you provide them

Service Providers

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service:

• Google/YouTube API: To authenticate users and verify subscription status
• Stripe: To process subscription, product, and tip payments and creator payouts
• Email provider (Amazon SES): To send transactional emails and creator newsletters

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.

4. YouTube API Services

Busker uses YouTube API Services. By using our Service, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. You can review Google's privacy practices at Google Privacy Policy.

We access YouTube data solely to display creator channel information and verify member subscription status for subscriber-only giveaways. We do not access your videos, comments, playlists, or other YouTube content.

You can revoke Busker's access to your Google account at any time via Google Security Settings.

5. Data Retention

For Creators

We retain your account and giveaway data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal or legitimate business purposes.

For Members

We retain your entry data for as long as the associated giveaway exists. Your Google account information is retained to facilitate future giveaway entries. You can request deletion at any time.

Inactive Accounts

Accounts that have not been accessed for 180 days (6 months) may be automatically deleted. We will attempt to notify you by email before deletion.

Order and Payment Records

Order, tip, and payment records may be retained after account deletion where required for tax, accounting, or legal purposes.

You can request deletion of your data at any time through our data removal page.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction: Update or correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Delete your account and associated data
• Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
• Revoke access: Disconnect your Google account at any time

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS)
• Secure password hashing
• Session management with automatic expiration

However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Cookies and Email Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and remember your preferences (such as dark/light mode). We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

When creators send newsletters through Busker, the emails include tracking that records whether you opened the message and which links you clicked, so creators can measure engagement. We do not use this to build cross-site advertising profiles. You can stop receiving newsletters at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Some giveaways may have additional age restrictions set by creators.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. For significant changes, we may also notify you by email.
